1. About FrenchWise Academy

FrenchWise Academy is a private online French language school specialising in exam preparation for TEF Canada, TCF Canada, and DELF/DALF exams, with a focus on helping students achieve CLB scores recognised by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for immigration purposes. We do not provide immigration legal advice or consulting services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to enrol in our courses. By enrolling, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are enrolling on behalf of a minor, you as the parent or guardian accept responsibility.

3. Course Enrollment & Access

Upon successful enrollment and payment:

• You will receive access details for your scheduled live sessions via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours.
• Course materials, recordings (where applicable), and resources are provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
• Access is granted for the duration of the enrolled course or subscription period only.
• You may not share your login credentials, recordings, or course materials with any third party.

4. Payments & Pricing

• All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is due at the time of enrollment. We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
• Prices are subject to change. Any price change will not affect an already-confirmed enrollment.
• Applicable taxes may apply depending on your country of residence.

5. Discounts & Referrals

• First-month discount: New students receive a 10% discount on their first month's enrollment. This discount is applied automatically at checkout and cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless stated.
• Referral discount: Existing students receive a 10% discount for each successful referral (a referral is considered successful when the referred individual enrolls and completes payment). Referral discounts are applied to the referring student's next billing cycle.
• Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash and have no monetary value outside of FrenchWise Academy services.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Within 48 hours of enrollment: If you have not yet attended any session, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of enrollment.
• After attending sessions: Refunds are not available once you have attended one or more live sessions, as course materials and instructor time have been allocated.
• Class cancellations by FrenchWise Academy: If we cancel a scheduled session, we will reschedule it at a mutually agreed time or provide a pro-rata credit toward your next session.
• Student absence: Sessions missed by the student without advance notice (minimum 12 hours) will be counted as attended. Sessions may be rescheduled if notice is given at least 12 hours in advance, subject to instructor availability.

7. Code of Conduct

All students are expected to:

• Treat instructors and fellow students with respect during all sessions.
• Attend sessions punctually and engage honestly in assessments.
• Refrain from recording sessions without prior written consent from FrenchWise Academy.
• Not share, reproduce, or distribute course content without authorisation.

We reserve the right to remove a student from a course without refund if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or violates these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and in our courses — including lesson materials, worksheets, recordings, mock tests, and written resources — is the intellectual property of FrenchWise Academy and is protected by applicable copyright laws. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

9. No Immigration Advice

FrenchWise Academy is a language school. Nothing on our website or in our courses constitutes immigration, legal, or visa advice. We do not guarantee any particular immigration outcome. For immigration guidance, please consult a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or a licensed immigration lawyer.

10. No Exam Score Guarantee

While our courses are designed to maximise your chances of achieving your target CLB score, FrenchWise Academy does not guarantee any specific exam result. Individual outcomes depend on factors including the student's prior knowledge, practice effort, exam-day performance, and external exam authority decisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrenchWise Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim.

12. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your personal information.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
